Outdoor Hour Challenge – Spring 2011 Plans

For all of you who have emailed me asking about what the plan is for our spring nature, I finally came to some concrete decisions. I decided I did not have time in my schedule to create a new set of challenges so we will be completing some of the challenges from last year along with our spring observations of our Queen Anne’s Lace.

If you purchased my Spring Series ebook in 2010, you are all set to go. If you would like to work from the challenges on the blog, they are on the tab at the top. If you would like to have all the challenges and the notebook pages on hand, you can purchase the ebook from this LINK.

Please note that there are five more studies (apple tree, cats, snakes, earthworms, ants) included in the ebook that we will not be completing as part of the 2011 Spring Series. You are free to complete those challenges and post a link in the original challenge listed on the Spring tab at the top of my blog.

  1. So looking forward to spring challenges! With the booming thunderstorms moving in yesterday afternoon I was thinking about that signs of spring challenge from last year.

    Thank you for all you – and our OHC friends- do to inspire us!

  2. Spring! 19 days, right? Yay! LOL

    Jessy

  3. Barb, this was just the push to get me to purchase my first eBook from you! I love the idea of working through this with others and linking up to see how each family uses this resource! Would you mind very much if I posted an informal review when we’re finished?

  4. Tricia,
    I am looking forward to Spring too…I have started to dream of warm breezes and my sunflowers. Glad you are going to join us for the spring challenges.

    Jessy,
    Are you counting? 🙂

    Laura Lou,
    Great! It is always nice to have new participants and please do feel free to review when you are done. Send me a link. 🙂

  5. Oh, I’m looking so forward to reading through all of these entries!

    The children and I are enjoying your outdoor hour challenges along with our art study. { I’m working on my post for this and should have it up soon!}

  6. I just happened onto your blog and am excited! Thank you for putting this all together. I have been trying to implement Charlotte Mason into my homeschooling but quite frankly, have not been so fabulous at our nature study.

    Thank you!!

  7. Welcome Rachel…hope to see you around!
